Signup or Signin with a magic link
New here? Same form handles Signup or Signin — we'll create your account and a personal workspace from your magic link.
How does a magic link work?
- Type your email and click Send magic link.
- We email you a one-time link tied to your address.
- Click it in your inbox — you're signed in. No password to remember.
Same approach used by Slack, Notion, Vercel, and Linear. The underlying library is Supabase Auth (open source).
Is this secure?
Yes — usually safer than a password. Here's why:
- Nothing to leak.We never see or store a password. There's no password database to steal.
- Nothing to reuse.A password leaked from another site can't be used here, because there is no password.
- One use, one hour. The link expires in 60 minutes and works exactly once.
- Signed and verified. Each link carries a cryptographic signature. Tampering with the URL breaks it.
- Only in your inbox. The link only exists in the email we just sent you.
Magic-link sign-in does depend on your email account being secure — use a strong password (or passkey) and 2FA on email itself. Good practice anyway.
What if my magic link expires or doesn't arrive?
Just submit the form again. Each request mints a fresh link and invalidates any older one for your address. Delivery usually takes a few seconds; if nothing arrives in a minute or two, check spam.
